Took less than an hour...First silver with the Mojave.

In a challenging WiFi trash and iron filled area that I have been hunting for about 2 years non-stop that has very few good targets left and is surrounded on all sides by power lines I found a good one.
This spot is almost under some of those lines attached to a building and I have been over this exact spot a gazillion times before with all kinds of coils and detectors...including my Compadre.
This morning on this hunt I got a signal with my new Mojave that said dig me...so I did.
A beat up, scarred up wasted 45 merc which is just beautiful to me, considering that went on before leading up to finding it.
I think this was 56 minutes in since I put it together and turned it on total since I got it Monday.

Took long enough.

That thing sure is beat up.

As many times that you have been over the same spot, With a concentric coil, you know how easy it is to just miss a target. A little to the left or right of the cone signal going into the ground will miss that coin.

You hit right on that thing.. KEN

Been over that same exact spot many, many times.
I used an F70 with a big DD, a sniper DD and a concentric, a Vaq with a big DD and a sniper concentric, even a Compadre with a 7" coil.
There is a possibility I might have been here with an F2 5 or 6 years ago, I used to hunt this same park a bit and hunted around this exact site but I can't remember if I ever hunted in this particular
spot with that one before.
Also a friend went over this same area with an E Trac and an SEF sniper coil because I watched him do it and since this was a main entrance to this park that was dedicated in the mid 20's and a very popular place to hang out the most logical place for every hunter in this town to hunt since metal detectors were invented.
We all missed this dime but today me and the Mojave didn't.
Don't know why or do I even care, I am just happy I was the one to finally find it.
It is very cool that a new to me detector helped me do it.

Congrats on the silver

Good hunting there REVIER! It's a feather in your cap to pull that merc out of a hard hit site like that! Way to go! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!
