I noticed that when I dig a target based on screen feedback with no soundings (can pin point it on sound though) I can never get to the target no matter how much I dig or I loose it. When I find a target based on both noise feedback and screen feedback I can find the target. I've been using the standard beach program. Now I've been digging on FE Lines 9,10,11,12,13. Does anyone know where Platinum jewlery falls at?

This may not be any help, but I believe someone found a platinum ring late summer or fall. I've searched for the post but couldn't find what I was looking for. Hopefully someone can give you your answer that knows for sure. If I remember correctly it read up on 1FE line and somewhere in the 1-10 or so in CO numbers...........

Funny (only because it has a happy ending) story...

Just before Christmas we get about 6" of snow. We have "snow emergencies" where your car on the street = getting towed. So I had to move my car into the driveway. I was out shoveling at about 7pm. I kept getting snow in between my glove and coat sleeve. I took my left glove off and shook it out and heard a THUNK against the bumper of my car. Didn't think anything about it. Got back inside, took my gloves off, realized my fairly loose Platinum wedding was the THUNK noise. SH!!!!!!T.

Grabbed my White's spectrum XLT to scan around the approximate area where the bumper of my now moved car used to be, and tried to find my ring. No dice. Thing was going apey on the concrete...assume there was rebar under there not helping matters?!? Not sure.

I was reduced to filling buckets of snow from the approximte area and bringing them into the house, dumping them in the kitchen sink and melting the snow with hot water.

LUCKILY, somewhere in the first 3 buckets I found the frackin' thing. I was actually pretty amazed.

I can't think of very many acceptable reasons to tell your wife you've lost your wedding band, but she was just as amazed I'd found it as I was.

This 12 gram platinum ring I found rang up at 12 - 27 on my CTX.

That Sir will forever qualify as your BEST find! Congrats.

Wow it seems like all the good stuff comes up on FE 12 I dig 11 and 13 becuase of ground mineralization changing the numbers

SE-5, you're absolutely right! I think I spent as much on the CTX (still waiting...any day UPS!!!) as we did on that band...

My wife was actually pretty cool about it. There wasn't any "you get your @$$ out there and find that thing!"...She was pretty shocked when I was doing the snoopy dance in front of the sink cause I found it though. Lucky I did. The plows woulda pushed that thing into the next county by morning.
