Instead of my HH PI, I decided to take my Minelab EX II to the beach. I gotta' tell ya', I've never been so happy NOT digging every piece of metal in the ground! I tinkered with the settings a bit and chose not to dig pennies. I must have passed over 25 or 30 pennies... Some of them fooled me into thinking they were dimes, but for the most part this enabled me to have more time and energy to focus on digging solid targets. Most of the targets were deep, around 6 - 12 inches... So much sand. Most of the quarters were from the 60's, 70's and 80's, but no silver. These coins were down there for awhile. Most of the ridges on the quarters were worn completely off.

Also got 3 rings, 2 silver and one 10k with what looks like a nice ruby and two diamonds. One of the silver rings had 9 small diamond like stones, but don't believe they are real. All in all a satisfying and beautiful day. Air temp. 75 degrees, water temp. 54 degrees.
