Took a few pictures yesterday cleaning up the dusting of snow.

Decent dusting. Punched a trail out to the road with the backhoe. Will try and make a clip of it later today. Also took a small clip of it at about its peak coming down. Will post that later. Still got a lot to clear out here and push it back. Run out of places to push it once it freezes solid so need it back now.
We ended up with 23 inches on the flat and a lot of drifts from all the wind. What surprised me is we kept power. Had thunder and lighting also durning the storm. A couple of good flashes really made a really neat picture but happens to fast to catch it. Good nor-easter for sure. Beautiful out there today, birght sun, about 16 right now here and 20 mph wind.... See if I can get some pictures later in the day with shadows, they look nice on snow.

Meantime, for those that don't get to play in snow to often, here are a few shots...These expand up pretty good.

still do a lot of it that way. But the driveway is a half mile long so always tried to have something to move it off. For years I used my old D-4. It has the gas pony engine and then starts the diesel. Old one, 1956, but still runs. Straight push and makes the snow like a giant hay round bale...When it gets to big, push it off to the side, like a roll up driveway. The backhoe is nicer with the cab for sure. The body can't take what it used to. The toys make it easier for sure. Keeping the toys all working is a job within itself. All that said, I like it back here off the road. Not easy to find a private place in CT. Usually if you reach back to scratch your rear, someone else says thank you.... To crowed or my taste so this was the next best area. The quiet corner they call it, which means no work or industry in this area. But land here is reasonable in comparison to elsewhere in the state. I see some of the old home foundations, way back in the woods, just old logging roads and wonder how they got around. Had to be one hard life. Just seeing all the stone walls they built to have clear land was a huge tash in itself... Yet, they did it. different breed of cat for sure.

little snow this year. I can not believe it but Arkie John has had more than I have. This just can not last but if it does:thumbup:

I shoveled the roofs in a couple of places. The snow was deeper than the snow splitter... so i had to dig it out. I also freed up the house vents and stacks.

I am tired of this crap... time for a break!!!!!

Fair winds
