Hey all. I love my P.I. machine in the surf, but lately my "scoop elbo" has been hurting.I chest mount my CZ70 sometimes in the very shallow surf, and put it in a glad freezer bag. I run in autotune, and just switch to ID mode to see if it's iron.(saves my poor elbo a lot of pain) I got a "relic" signal that sounded very strong and when I didn't see any pulltabs after three scoops ,had an idea it was probally deep gold. Scoop number four brought up a beautiful man's 14k wedding band that fit me perfect! I need to get another CZ 20 or 21,I keep having visions of my CZ70 taking a deadly salt weter dip. good luck, happy hunting.

Congrats on the gold. You really don't want to dunk the CZ70. My vote is for a CZ21. If you get a CZ20 and the pinpoint button goes then either you need to disable it and plug the hole yourself or get it upgraded to a CZ21. Really good CZ20's are getting hard to find.
Cheers,
tvr

I have no problems with the 8 inch Pinpointing....but-just got a 10, thinking about a remote PP? Any thoughts, or is there a trick...............

I just know where the beep is instinctivly. I guess I have had a lot of practice and of course I dive and can see exactly where to dig.

The water here is so murky that you can see maybe a foot into. And the type of hunting here is time limited..6 am to 9 am at the state park...So I had very good luck with the ex cal remote, just thinking recover time is some crucial..maybe I should practice a little before opening her up.....
