Too windy and cold outside... Here's what I found 2 weeks ago.

What is that in the lower right, a token, a coin- does it say England on it? I find a lot of those cartridges (some live even)- until I did them, they usually have me thinking a good coin! Good Hunts, CO

The coin is a zinc 5 dinara Yugoslav coin from 1945. I already have two of these in my collection. The fields are full of rusty nails, so I'm sort of leaving out most of the iron targets, going for the higher range. One of the two cartridges from the bottom left is from 1896. It's the oldest I've found so far.
The pistol shell is Italian.
Next time I'll go further uphill, since there used to be an English shooting range and an old Roman road cutting through the area, far from the present highway.

It is still fun getting out.

What part of the country are you from?

I wanted to take my detector to Sisak, Croatia. They say there are lots of Roman coins in the fields around there. But, was too busy visiting friends.

Trieste, Italy, right on the border with Slovenia. The windy city... and we might finally get some snow this Saturday.
Looking at a radar image of Central Europe, Trieste is the only area that hasn't been snowed in this season.

Good area for Metal detecting. You should find a lot of good things. Italy seems to be more open to Metal detecting than Croatia. I would love to find a few Roman coins.

Even Rome got a lot of snow this year.
