Too wet to work so went detecting.

Took the X-Terra70 for a walk.
Along with another old Key and a womens Heart shaped heel plate. I managed this old ring and an 1897 Barber quarter.

Good one Bob. Mate over here its too wet to detect, it looks like our drought may have broken, ill keep my fingers and toes crossed on that one. Cold too, well by our standards anyway, mate overnight lows of -3 celcius and tops in the day of 9!
Probably a good summers day to some of you guys huh?
Have a good on Bob and nice finds too by the way.

I thought about it yesterday, but found some inside stuff to do. The darn work keeps getting in the way of detecting. Nice ring and Barber!

Good stuff! Always nice to find some old silver and jewelry. We got about a half inch of rain last night. But it still looks like a desert around here. With cracks in the ground so big you could twist an ankle, and temps in the triple digits, it is just about too hot to enjoy a hunt. Guess maybe old age is catching up with me! HH Randy

You are right, but most of the time I don't even need an excuse. Unfortunately, detecting doesn't pay the bills, not yet anyway so I keep pounding nails until I retire and can detect all I want. Ron

the ground around here is so much like cement and I refuse to go to the parks since digging there would leave too much of a mark and damage to the grass (definitely have to play good citizen so councils don't ban us altogether). Besides, digging in the extremely hard stuff is more likely to damage the finds too. I keep telling myself that they'll still be there when the rains do eventually (hopefully) come.

The beaches on the other hand...:>
