Here's a photo after a short hunt with the Excal today.

After cleaning up the ring, it's not gold. It's is marked .925. So, the stones must not be diamonds either since they aren't mixed with Silver.

Awe shucks! I was on such a roll too.

This was my first time at another swimming place. This place is quite a bit further drive. It's 138 miles round trip. The hole I've been hunting and posting frequently is 50 miles round trip. When I get back from Virginia Beach, this and the one I've been hunting should be seeded well.

Long trip (138 miles) and the ring doesnt seem worth it, I suppose. But you are doing what you enjoy and your home territory beckons.
Not everyday is a big hitter, but everyday you draw a breath is big.

There's supposed to be a guy, who will do free apraisal, coming in to our local Kay Jewelers at the mall on Tuesday this week. I'm going to take my rings in after work and have him take a look. I may not get the chance to post any results of his inspection that evening because I'll have to finish some last minute packing and I'll be trying to get to bed early. We're leaving for VA Beach on Wednesday morning around 3 AM. I'm hunting with Mike for 2 weeks.
