Hi Tony, I'm just curious about the breakdown of your GT. It must have been serious damage to have to give you a new unit. Minelab is a great outfit! Ok Tony God Bless.

I don't know what actually caused the problem. I was just detecting normal like and the machine made a fart sound and that's all she wrote. It lasted about 15 minutes.

Now that I have the new one I am having a love/hate relationship with her at the moment.

Hi Tony, ok thanks for the response and I would love to find out what caused it to die. Yes the GT is much different than say the Xterra 70. I need to put in more time on my demo unit. The tones are the key. I'm sure the sens. can be boosted a bit but if you crack the case there goes your warranty. But I would love to see the inside of my unit. I will get around to it eventually I'm sure. I can tell you right now that if one adjustment is made then it will cause a change down the line and will need to be compensated for. Beware of the Golden Screwdriver! I am very happy Minelab took care of you Tony and enjoy. God Bless.
