The 2 pieces of Civil War shell shrapnel I dug in Spotsylvania w. you a couple years back I'm finally getting around to preserving. I now have a good system going in my garage. I did my cannonball, colonial axe, & 1 piece of shrapnel...look at the difference :surprised:

Don't blow up that garage! Hey, let's see a picture of you w/ that WWII Steel "Pot" I found on your head. You better be wearin that thing if you keep hittin those cellar holes during deer season! :lol:
 
The battery charger method....same one you can read about online
 
if it's not to much hassle, could you post your process? I have a very old hammer head I found last week, I'd like to preserve it. HH and nice finds there, Mike
