tones for prizm 2

Hi to all can tones id be added:rofl: to the prizm 2.
I never open my unit yet.
Did white just added more parts in the 3 and 5 models????.
If the 2 had tones it would be a nice.

I have not read anywhere it could be done. Only mods I have on this model is to adjust Threshold and Ground Balance via the pods. The II has two tones actually, one deep tone for Iron and then the regular higher tone for all else. The only difference between the model III and the II is the depth meter. The IV in addition to that, has smart notch and three different tone IDs, low for Iron and nails, medium for rings and jewelry and the high for coins, and the V has MultiTone which is 8 different tones or you can switch this model to the model IV

Thanks did you do the gb mods yourself. What are the ohms on the pots and can you post image on this site or can firstontop.com post the mods.:hot:

With the Classic series, the single, easily-accessible GB trimmer adjusts the GB reference for BOTH the All Metal and Discriminate modes.s

I have played with nearly a dozen Prizm models, II, II, IV and V, and have noted that some might have a too negative GB in the Disc. mode and too positive in All Metal, or perhaps too negative in All Metal but positive in Disc. mode.

Even on a couple of models, an attempt to get a decent GB in the All Metal mode didn't do anything to help the Disc. mode. In short, the Prizm's circuitry, with regard to the harmony between the two operating modes, doesn't seem to have addressed the GB issue as well as it could have.

If you do any adjusting, make sure you check performance in BOTH operating modes.
