tone adjustable?

is it possible to adjust the tone(lower pitch) or to add a tone to the tigershark???
chuck.

I know Tesoro changed the low tone to high tone for some recent units and a call to Tesoro should answer your question as not able to do on every Tesoro unit...

The higher tones,(like on older Sidewinder,Silver Sabre Umax, etc.), ARE MUCH better at discerning target ID and depth!

Thank god Tesoro is finally going back to the older/higher tones????

Wish they'd upgrade the ALL the audio tones of the Tejon,Vaquero, and Cibola,(400hz to at least 600 hz.!)

I'm only aware of the high tone upgrade of the Cibola..Could someone please tell me how much Tesoro charges for a Cibola tone upgrade, from the "newer" low 400 hz audio tone,to an "older" high 600 hz audio tone??

I read Monty's posts all the time on here, and I PERFECTLY AGREE WITH MONTY,especially when it comes to Tesoros older models!! Why did Tesoro lower all the audio tones, making it HARDER to determine target composition,
size,and depth??!!

WE ALSO AGREE THE SILVER SABRE UMAX with RED PINPOINT **TRUE ALL METAL PINPOINT** MODE was
one of Tesoro's best detectors! (Tesoro should put it on ALL newer machines, except instead of the old plastic red pinpoint button, use a steel toggle switch! (Pinpointing gets difficult after a while, pressing and holding the pinpoint button down constantly with your thumb, while trying to locate/discern a target!)

seeker41(ohio),
Call the factory about tone on the Tiger Shark. The Cibola and Tejon can be changed at the factory to high or low tone. The Tejon is settable to your preference of tone over a fairly wide range, or run it in VCO mode for some interesting feedback on what is in the ground.

davidf99,
Pinpointing gets difficult after a while, pressing and holding the pinpoint button down ...
When I added a ground balance pot to my Cibola, I also put a switch under the box, like a trigger switch. Normal middle position is discriminate. Using and index finger, pull it for pinpoint with a spring loaded return to center, push it to lock it in pinpoint. Nice to be able to lock it at times.
