got a lead today at this tiny park ,this guy see me and says a couple weeks ago here a lady lost her wedding ring playing with her dog there is a beach about 100 yrds long and 40-50 ft wide and a grassy area of about 1/2 acre not really that big. the guy told me she only looked around on the beach, i will be there tomorrow and go over the place with a fine tooth comb ! ya never know
 
Good luck. Pay attention to your sweep and make sure you overlap. Mark your path (I take gloves or socks and drop them to mark off a rough grid. It is so easy to miss a lot of ground when you think your are covering it.
