High on a wooded hill sits a cellar hole that at one time was the home of Thomas Jefferson's sister.Confederate Calvary operated in this area along the river so any thing is possible. No detector has every been allowed on this site per the landowner but in Virginia poaching is a possibility. More info to follow.

Amazing. Take your time. Don't get so excited about what may be that you hurry through things. Keep us posted. I can feel the history from here. Good luck and congratulations on a great site.

I don't get excited much because of the disappointment some sites cause. The plantation I just hunted was owned by the same person and it appeared to have been hunted sparingly . Anticipating may be a better word. No pressure to rush. I can go there anytime I want. Thanks for your thoughts.

Varmint hunters shooting today. Stayed clear. Hit a couple old standbys digging flat buttons, a D buckle, child thimble and one Indian penny. Coyotes have become a problem.
