........Going to St. Clair Community College for pre-entry Math,English, and Reading testing.......I just looked at some sample test questions, one in particular was an essay test in English, where they give you a topic for discussion, both sides pro/con,and the side of the issue YOU are defending, all the while stating BOTH sides of the issue;while offering specific proof and examples of
YOUR opinion on the given subject;and also having the option of adding a THIRD opinion,or solution-along with corresponding examples and proofs corresponding therein.........as well as your conclusion;all presented in a concise, clear manner........... There was also 6 examples of written essays;the first 3 look like they were written by a 4th grader-(ATROCIOUS!!!)-the rest were ok,but they were ALL way off from my version-Not to say MINE are ;but THATS WHY Im going in for testing,RIGHT???In any event;Im looking forward to this testing-ESPECIALLY reading and English-just to see how much Ive retained after all these years:thumbup:..............

I can tell ya right now....you shouldn't have any issues. I have gone back to college after being out for 10 years and cannot believe how easy college english and math is these days. Seriously, recent high school grads (for the most part) have NO concept of grammar, composition, etc. I was so worried I would be at a disadvantage...nope. Good luck to ya! College is much more fun this time around for me.

Never attended college until I was 44 years of age and, like 4EverHis102399 says, I loved every minute of it! I was on the 'Dean's List' for the duration & graduated with a 3.57GPA and double major in Computer Information Systems/Business Management & English Literature/Expository Writing. I've given thought to going back to work on the Masters but, at 66 years of age, why? I think I'd rather be out detecting in God's great out-of-doors. I do wish I had a hunting partner though.

As Mike says: Do your best and that is all that you can do, besides praying for God's guidance and godly wisdom to help you with the answers you need! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

youll do great!!
