Tom Dankowski Tuned CZ's ?

What was your guys results after getting Tom to calibrate your CZ's? He currently has my CZ6A and I'm kind of anxious to get it back to see how it performs. My CZ6A air tests a dime at 10 3/4" but the ID of targets was off and the audio was smearing on targets. So tell me what your experiences was. Thanks Morgan

He tunes them up well so should be fine when it returns...as far as depth not all of them can be tuned to max so depth will vary....

Well I just got an email from Tom and he said that it was a little out of calibration and that it is now getting 11.8" in his Florida dirt. So I think I am going to have a very good machine once I get it home.

I'm sending my CZ3D to him and will let you know the results.

Lake Hunter is yours one of the FTP CZ3D's or one of the 1021 CZ's? What was yours air testing?

Yeah I figured for a hundred bucks it would be money well spent. The main reason I sent it in was zinc pennies in normal mode was registring as high coins. And Tom corrected that issue according to his email he sent me.

My CZ3D is a newer one. And it's air testing a dime at 9.5" with 8" coil.

Tom does what he can to get you as much depth as he can but the one thing that matters the most is proper target ID at depth. I've had several CZ's over the years a few of them didn't air test that well but in the ground they would go deeper which amazed me.

Hopefully Tom can get some extra depth on mine. At 9.5" it reads properly but anything deeper..it doesn't.

He may be able to squeeze out a half to one inch. Let us know what he has to say about your unit.

I was so happy with my Dankowski results. He has tuned two 1021s for me. It is such a joy to know they are doing what they are supposed to do. My first coin after my tune up was an 1834 bust dime. Still my oldest silver and screamed at me. Great to see a 12 inch Dankowski sticker on it, boosts your confidence. I will always send a new to me CZ in to Tom. Happy hunting, the CZ is a great, go to, coin hunter.

What was the turn-around time?

He received mine on a Thursday and shipped it back out to me Saturday.

Well I did a air test before I shipped it and it was 10-3/4" after I got it back from Tom I am now getting a dime right at 12 inches before it starts breaking up. So it's a hot one. :hot:

Sent my cz6a to Tom in October....It tests in his soil at 12.3" with my 10.5" coil....Tests at 11.2" with the 8" coil....He told me it was a good 20 yr. old unit and should be good for another 20 yrs. Tom is a great guy to deal with...Turn around was less than a week....

Yes sir Tom is a very nice fellow to deal with and he knows how to get the most out of a CZ when he tunes them. And his report blew my mind at how in depth it was.

He told me he made some corrections in calibrations and bumped up a few things and the CZ3D is now hitting a dime at 11" in his dirt and is really stable. And that is with the 8" coil.
I'm pretty happy with those results considering it was only air testing a dime at 9.5" before I sent it in.

Sounds like he worked his magic on it Lake Hunter let us know how you do on a hunt with it when you get a chance to use it. I haven't had a chance to use mine yet to much rain and working six days a week kinda keeps you tied up and unable to hunt.
