Any one familiar with the toltec 100? Mine seems to be noisy in trashy areas.Sens.set at 7 with disc, set a little past tabs. This machine has the best notch system of any machine i've ever used.I use the 5.75" concentric coil plus i have a 8" brown donut coil.Ididn't get a manual with it but tesoro has instructions for it on their forum.Any tips would be appreciated on the best way to use it.Thanks Pat

I don't have one,but somewhere online is a good list of detector manuals. Might have the Toltec possibility on the list. I know there were some machines that went back in time. May be worth some searching time on a rainy day.
Since I reloaded the operating program on this laptop, I lost lots of saved stuff. And did I save the same on my other computers? Oh no I didn't:veryangry:

Or go to the top of the Tesoro forum page and click on the Tesoro Banner. In there web page look for Manuals, scroll down and the Toltec 100 will be there. Bill in Texas

Toltec 100, I had one!
Good Machine. If you are looking in trashy areas you are not going to get much depth. I won't the set sensitivity higher than 5. Now the hardest is to SLOW DOWN. Fisher said "2 feet a second". I say 1 foot a second maybe better. With a Tesoro iron trash drops out and good targets stay at slow sweep speed. Remember lots trash means people. If it is hard for you to detect then its hard for everyone. If you want gold then set disc. at foil, no higher. Small coil a must! All ways remember to work smarter not harder.
Have fun ; Slowmotion

Thanks for the replys gentlemen.Very much appreciated.I think once i have a chance to learn this machine,it's going to be a good one.I'll probably be running the 5.75" coil the majority of the time.I do have the hip mount kit to help with the weight. No more than i've had a chance to use it,i just love that old machine.I have read that they are one of tesoros old great ones.Happy hunting & thanks again guys for the tips.Pat
