Tokens, wheats, and Big Silver

Gonehunting

Despite being sicker than a dog, Freak came down to Durant to do some detecting. We headed to the home where Dave and I found the silver earlier this week.. He found quite a few targets including his first wheat...
Before he got there, I got started and found two tokens from around statehood....

Right after he got there I found the find of the day... he must have brought some luck with him...lol

That looks like a great hunt! Our ground is frozen here in Minnesota so I am currently living vicariously through posts such as yours. Thank you for sharing and I hope you recover many more interesting finds. HH -Marc

Thanks man, I couldn't imagine not being able to hunt when it cools down.. It's about the only time the ticks, chiggers, and poison ivy doesn't get to us here....good luck this spring!

Congrats on the Franklin, very nice find. How many oklahoma tax tokens have you found? I have a coffee can about half full. When hunting the old houses, I can count on finding 3 things, ok tax tokens, makeup, and harmonica parts. Way to go on the big silver.

Very nice !

Funny - I found a brass hose nozzle just like yours here in VA about a week ago - 10 inches deep. Brought it home, cleaned off the dirt and noticed it was stamped "Made in the USA, Boston" on the base. Couldn't help but to screw it onto the hose and to my surprise - it worked better than the one I had on there. Take a guess where my brass hose nozzle is today...yep...on the hose! :clapping:

thanks guys... that nozzle had "made in Italy" stamped on it... The video is up.. will post in a few...

Very nice. :super:
