ok i was using my new exterra lastnite in my yard and i got a copper signal 34 to 36 it was about 5 inches down when i popped this outta the hole i didnt know what it was all i could se was it was john adams on it. it says on one side 1797 to 1801 It appears to be a rare find sinced infact it is made of solid copper. anybody have any info on this please feel free to share with me im trying to identify it no luck so far.
 
my guess is a commemorative token. Nice find. Closest thing I ever found like it is one of those Shell station tin ones.
