I found a James W. Beaty, tobacconist, cigar maker, cigar manufacturer......born 1818. He was manufacturing cigars in the late 1800's, this token could be to the company he owned. I cannot find any more info for a "Beaty Cigar" company but there appears to have been a James W. Beaty manufacturing cigars. The link below mentions his age at each decade listed....

An alternative could be a typo on the token which it could have meant 'Beauty', which makes sense.

My guess is that the word beaty may be the english spelling for beedie a cigars that originated in India.
