I am doing some research on this token I found yesterday and I have a bit of information. This token was found in a lake in Jackson Michigan. The Jackson newspaper Jackson Citizen Patriot was called the Citizen Press back in 1914. So far nobody can tell me why this token was made but they are looking through their archives on microfilm to see if they can shed any light on the subject.
It is brass and the size of a silver dollar. It has a 44 on the edge. I am thinking that it is number 44 out of 50 - 100. I can't imagine there being many more.
I might donate it to the museum in Jackson if they want it. Tokens are one of my favorite finds. I save all from Port Huron MI my hometown but will part with the others.
