Token for the cannonball guy.

I found this token at the same site as the U.S. padlock I asked you about. Both sides are the same.
The token is the size of a nickel it has a star with bulls eye style circles and the letters s n s inside the star. it also read as a nickel.

Sorry, Devin ...but all I know about tokens would fit into a single paragraph (okay, maybe two paragraphs).

I've dug some over the years, of course, but unles they were clearly from the civil-war era I did not put effort into learning about them.

Readers, am I incorrect in recalling that there was a "token guru" who was posting in this forum? My recollection is that he had the word "token" as part of his posting-name.

Perhaps that recollection is indeed incorrect, Devin, because if that guy is here I'd think he would have replied to your post.

Again, sorry I can't be of any significant assistance about your token. Hey, wait-a-second... I do know there are a couple of extensive Token Guidebooks (very similar to Coin Guidebooks). You could call local coinshops and ask about Token Guidebooks. And maybe the local library has one.
