I found a token today that seems to be pretty old.
on one side it has the number 5 and on the other side it has C & C
its larger than a nickle and smaller than a quarter.
It has nice little vertical lines than run around the outer parameter on both sides.

I would post a pic but my camera wont focus well enough to see

here is a shot of the token i found and this morning i found this gun , not sure if its real or not but sure feels like

It looks like the rusted parts are in the right places for it to be real. See if there are any numbers stamped into the non-ferrous parts.

The only thing i have found so far is a 6874 on the bottom of the handle
looks like about a 22 cal

Depending on where you found it mught be worth talking to your local police about what you found. You might have a clue or evidence there that might close an ancient case...

the pistol is a real one, i believe it is a North American Arms revolver. The cylinder will come out with the missing pin under the barrell. 22 or 22 mag, stainless 5 shots, barrel variations, and some even folded down in a grip, or belt buckle mount. not a cheapo and a get off me gun! still in production and popular with cops ...
and campers. great little piece! very small, hides in the hand or pants pocket easily.
The token I am not sure on, but it probably means 5 cent in trade, I have one that spells out 5 cent in trade, and just a number. a merchant could order bags of tokens with a specific number assigned to him, or his own name, logo etc. turn of century for the 5 cent'er i believe. check your town records for a company listing with that name, town historian or library. more than a slight possibility it was a local mercantile or sundries store, drug store or grocer type combo of sort. we had a trading transport mercantile during the Civil War in Macon Ga called Carhart and Curd co. Not certain on tokens but possible. neat finds.
P.S. i thought my find was a washer, it had a perfect hole, and upon getting ready to toss in junk box, realized it was copper, and cleaning showed the markings. some are brass and nickle also, so check those washers!
