I got together with my buddy today and braved the heat at an old school.
We got off to a slow start and hardly could find any coins, but we just stuck in there and did manage a few coins.
The ground was very dry and hard digging and the coins gave some jumpy numbers.
May have to try the area again after cool weather hits and the ground is more suitable for digging.
I got a 1926 mercury dime and four wheat pennies dating 1910, 1919, 191?, and 1956.
I have them soaking now in some olive oil to get them a little cleaner and hopefully can get the last number on the date of the one coin with the question mark by it.
The one coin to the right side the dimes is a play coin that I found about 5" in the ground.
It has "Franklin Rosevelt "on one side with his image and on the back it has a "1".
I wasn't sure what it was until I got home an cleaned it up some and look at it closer.
Thanks for looking,
Felix
