The spoon isn't. One bit of advice I have given others and nobody seems to listen. BUT here goes. Field cleaning items is BAD. The best reason is IF you field clean a silver coin that is rare I guarentee you will reduce its value because the ground scratches it. I did that to not one BUT TWO 1926S Merc dimes. I could have got a lot more from both of them . but I got only 100.00 each.

Bob Campbell at All About Coins in SLC Utah bought both of them. I have no idea if the company is still around. He advised me to carry a small bottle of olive oil and put my silver in and just run it under warm water when I got home.

Other reasons not to play with your finds is, you have plenty of time later. Spend more time hunting during daylight. I dive 90% of the time with my detector and I don't even see if I have gold. I just put everthing in a mesh bag and look at all of it when I come out.

The last reason is if there are bystanders around, they will become very interested and take up your time.

Its all your choice though. BUT scratching valuable coins is NOT profitable!! I have made over two thousand dollars with 5 coins. Only scratched two. BUT the two I scratched looking for the date made me sick.

I like your video's though. Glad your having fun. Couldn't see the button that well, can you tell us what it is?

Here the same video with out music. Also if you watch till the very end you will see what the button is. I agree with you on rubbing coins, I just like to show people what it is, When I find it. Yeah I think the spoon was like stainless , not silver.
