Today's trip to southern Illinois, non-MD...............

Took friday off with spouse on our 23rd anniversery, took small trip to Shawnee national forest in Illinois, first stpop was Rim RocK formation.......

The next stop was Garden-of the-Gods, this place is spectacular,also steeped in indian lore and local history, 10 miles from Cave-in-Rock which was a river outpost during the Civil War, this first photo the focal poit is Camal-Head-Rock...........

Was windy and coll, 50 degrees for a high, on the cliffs the gusts felt like 50 mph.........
