Because I used both detectors today I will post on both forums. Went to a school yard and a tot lot today with the 505 and the Gamma. Mostly used the 505 cause I was expecting lots of trash and the 4 inch coil is on the 505. At the school I found 7 quarters, 31 dimes, 2 nickels and 54 pennies. These were found with the 505. At the tot lot I found 3 pennies with the 505 then switched to the gamma and the 11 inch DD coil. I used it outside of the tot lot around the side walk and benches. In the last 45 minutes of the hunt I found 7 quarters, 5 dimes and 16 pennies. Going back tomorrow with just the Gamma to see how I will do. My total finds today were 14 quarters, 36 dimes, 2 nickels and 73 pennies for a total of 125 coins and 7 dollars and 73 cents. That is the most coins I have found in one day. Hunted about 5 1/2 hours. Gamma settings were: sens @ 95, GB @ 72, notched out iron, foil and screw caps. My trash/treasure ratio, believe it or not, was more treasure than trash. Best day I have ever had. I can't wait to hit this spot with the 5 inch DD coil. It can't get here fast enough. My sister in law was raised in this area and she told me tonight that the school I hunted at today was there when she was little, so it has been there at least 45 years. Explains the abundance of coins. The other picture shows some cheap costume jewelery, buttons, a 9 mm bullet, and a couple of brass nuts, a broken child's ring, and a coin from some game room. Thanks for reading and Happy Hunting to all.
