The day started out with blowing snow, but cleared up quickly. Didn't find much today but, boy, some of the coins were really deep. Pretty much sanded over, so guess I'll wait for another good wind. Didn't see any other pirates out there today.

Fred, I was down there for a few hours yesterday. As you can see, it's QUITE bleak. Judging from your finds, it looks to me like you are ready to make a killing come spring/summer time. Keep swinging and rest assured, the gold is coming. :)
 
That's the one-piece model 6061 long handle sand scoop that I purchased from Kellyco. You probably see the black handle. I got tired of the aluminum shaft twisting in my hand so I sprayed it with a rubber coating. It comes in a spray can and is usually used to spray truck beds or wheel wells (about $7). That was the first time I've used the scoop after applying the rubber coating and it seemed to do the job.
