Was able to get out with my friend today and enjoy a nice hunt.
We where headed to a designated spot and caught the sight of another interesting spot.
Yard had been filled/pushed about 4" in areas (hit the brick original sidewalk at around 4") which made hunting fun as depths of coins where all over the place. Heck one of my neatest finds, the 6 star button (I never have seen a button like this before) was a good 9" but, some of the teen wheaties we dug where about 5"-6" then boom a clad at 7" lol. The LC was a deep coin at around 8"+.
I was able to snag a 1850 LC, the 6 star button, 3 wheaties 17,18 and ?, and what appears to be a clipped LC. It needs a serious soaking to even see what it might be.
Another fun note the owner told me and my friend to look at his old cars in his barn. Just like," hey go ahead stroll around". I felt like I was on Amer. Pickers looking into barns at things the guy wanted to show us.
Nothing like hunting and the owner insisting you look in the barns at his big boys toys. Then getting permission to come back at anytime is splendid.
My friend found quite a few teen wheaties. I hope to be able to get his GG re-wired as something is just not coming through clear on them at times (I suspect a wiring prob.) affecting his ability to hear the signals clear (it sounds like its only getting partial contact once you jiggle the wire near the ear cup).
Hope everyone had a great day hunting or not.
