Re-worked an area that several of us have hunted in the past this morning, well, that's usually the case, but knowing good targets would be few, had decided to dig targets that had some depth. As a result, I managed 5 wheat cents, 2 in the 40's and a 18d, 19 and a 26. About midway through the hunt I got a faint mid tone with numbers bouncing throughout the 50's. From all of 7" I recovered what appears to be a 1906 V nickel. I was using the NEL Sharpshooter coil. A little later I got a faint mid tone hit with just the hint of a high tone mixed in. That turned out to be the bigger of the 2 round balls and from all of 8" according to the Pro Pin Pointer. Near the end of the hunt I got a soft mid tone and that turned out to be the what appears to be a gold plated pendent. Will test it, but appears to have a couple of tarnish spots of it. Not sure what the readings were on it, but was just 3" or so deep. All in all, got 4 pieces of lead, which I always enjoy digging. Wow, it was great to see the sun again. HH jim tn
