Today's meagerness...

My girlfriend and I went to two beaches at the local lake today, for a total of about 5.5 hours. When we started we weren't even hitting pultabs, and figured that was a bad sign that it was cleaned out since last season. She stayed on the land with her ACE 250, and I headed for the water to try out the new 10.5" coil on the Tiger Shark. I was impressed with the new coil, it was easy to swing and just as easy to pin point with as the standard 8" coil. Don't ever let anyone tell you the bigger coils won't find small stuff, in the photo of my finds, next to the junk ring is a little pendant in the shape of the Greek letter delta, it is only 3/16 across !! Oh, I found my first Canadian quarter ( 1968 ) it was stuck to the magnet in my scoop.... Ferrous coins ????

The beach....

Our modern clad is now all bio-degradable ! The problem with that kind of crap is that most minelab machines will reject the new canadian clad... so if you want to hit a beach filled with coins, you gotta go all metal... or take an other machine.

Wow, that is as bad as our zinc pennies!! When did you guys go from silver to clad?? HH Joe
