Todays Lonely Find

Went on a field hunt for about an hour this afternoon. Found a crusty trade token and a few pieces of can slaw. This section of field has a carpet of nails. There were 2 in the hole with the token. The token is just a bit smaller than a half dollar and reads "GOOD FOR 50 cents IN TRADE" on one side and "D. E. SNYDER GROCERIES CAZENOVIA ILL." on the other side. A 50 cent token for groceries is considered rare, let alone a small town 50 cent token. That is a great find Daryl. :clapping:

I did a little field hunting myself today. I found and old axe head, pocket knife and a part off of a bridle (my guess anyway)

Super find Daryl. Wasn't there a Snyder's grocery store in Lowpoint also? Or was it a different name? I remember going there when a little kid. Great finds and HH, Nancy
