Hit an old house site while still training my buddy how to use his new EXP II. The yard wasn't nothing but trash target after trash target. You'd hit atleast 2 or more targets every sweep and sometimes more. On top of that there was some terrible electrical interference. I believe it was an electic fence with a poor ground, both machines kept pulsing the whole time no matter what adjustments were made. I had to empty the trash out of my large pouch several times in about 5 hrs. of hunting. The only keeper coin was found by my buddy, it was an 1890 injun. Would have been a good spot for a 5 inch coil. Has anyone else ever incountered problems from electic fences? The ground was still pretty damp. HH

large sheep farm here in no va and There is an old log cabin that dates to the late 1700s . the farmers have an old electric fence and it gives me a fit every time i hunt it.but persistance pays off. I found my first breast plate here, and a few eagle buttons, and a ton of pewter buttons. cant wait till i find the privies. .....Keep at it.and best of luck.

Scott, e-fences that are shorted out down the line somewhere will false badly. On our farm there are spots that have to be kept >100' away to get the falsing to quit. So I always go and unplug it. <img src="/metal/html/tongue.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":b">
Noise cancel has no effect on the fences at all.
HH'ing!
