Todays (i.e. this years) relic dig

Got to hunt the farm for a couple of hours this morning but didn't find anything worth writing home about so I thought I would share it with those that will appreciate my finds for what they are. Junk. But, not just any junk, but junk that I climbed hillsides and swung a heavy detector for 2 hours to find!! Therefore, I proclaim it as treasure even if I did chunk it in the garbage can when I got home.

This is a spiders view of the field I searched today.

Proof that I can still swing the mighty Fisher!!

I also had an audience!!

Though the finds were meager, Gods's wonderful, beautiful creations were all around me!!

This is a close-up of a wild passion flower, one of several I found growing in the field.

Another of the Lords wondrous creations!! I had to stop and say a prayer of thanks for all that God has blessed me with, my and my families salvation, all of you fine folks on this forum and the beauty that can be found in the smallest and seemingly insignificant things of His making. I prayed especially for all of us on this forum, with so many of us with health and financial burdens...I don't know, I guess I was just overwhelmed thinking about the many recent prayer requests.

Below are my treasured relics that now reside in the bottom of my garbage can. It sure was a blessing though, to be able to get out and find them!

Hope all of you have a great day!!

rewarded in other ways - and isn't that the whole point of getting out. Thanks for the pics - God's beauty, Steve in so az

I know you had fun, and spending Time with God is always a good thing! :)

is that bullet a modern one? I usually find some like that each year. I surely would like to find some civil war rounds.

Dave

...the bullet was a modern one. I was looking for Civil War stuff but to no avail!! But it was nice to get my hands dirty again. Hopefully I can try again next week...on second thought I'll wait til winter to hunt the farm because there is a wooded area I couldn't access because it was so overgrown. When all the undergrowth dies it will be easier to search.

Have you ever found a civil war bullet? I would think in your neck of the woods you could find some revolutionary stuff. Any luck there?

Doug

life is good!
Again thanks Doug for your prayers.
