today's hunt

Got out for about 3 1/2 hrs this afternoon at the park where I found my ring, only hunted the wood mulched play areas, what little bit of ground I covered while walking to each area, and about 50 yards along the side of the soccer area where ppl park the cars (found the 50c piece here). Todays finds are 7-quarters, 5-dimes, 2-nickles, 21-pennies, 1-50c, the charm and toy ring. Was hoping I would have done better but at least I found something.

Looks like you did pretty fair to me!

Were you using the Cibola or the DeLeon?

Looks like a good hunt to me too. Can't complain too much about turning up another ring. Keep doing that and you will eventually turn up a really valuable one.

Rained nearly all day here so I wasn't out with a Tesoro today. Guess I could have taken the Sand Shark but didn't. Hunted a couple of tot lots that turned out the be pretty well cleaned out. Got some foil and two coins; a nickle and a Sacagawea Dollar. With the dollar, I'm not going to complain about getting almost completely skunked.
Cheers,
tvr

Heck yeah! Many of us are inside, keeping away from the sub-freezing temps...I'd take those finds in a heartbeat! Heck, I'd be happy just getting out :detecting:

Thanks ya'll, I used both detectors if the play area seemed kinda trashy I used the cibola with the 5.75 coil other than that used the DeLeon with the stock coil. Jimmie
