todays hunt

Wife got me a new gps for christmas so I headed out to one of the local parks to find some of the new caches that had been placed in it. After finding the last cache I had about 30 minutes that I could use to detect before I had to head to the house. Since I was parked at one of the pavillions that had a couple of swings in wood mulch I decided to see if there was anything of interest there. While walking over I was swinging the coil just in case I walked over something good and got a solid 95 of the tid, stopped and dug down a couple of inches and pulled out a 1972 penny, then a short distance got another good signal and dug a zinc penny. Got to the mulched area and started searching got 2 hits close together and dug a zinc penny then a nickle that was just a couple of inches away kept on going down the front of the swings but didnt find anything else except for a coke can that was buried in the wood. Checked the time and saw it was almost time to go so I decided to hunt the last few minutes on the other side of the last swing. Got a hit on a zinc and quickly recovered it, moved a little further out in front of the swing area and got a hit that read tab 65 figured it was just a pull tab but went ahead and dug it anyway and much to my surprise that ring was there. To bad its not silver or gold and the diamond is only a CZ but its the first nice looking ring I've ever found so now I've got more hope of pulling a really good one out of one of those play areas some day soon. (Was going to post a couple of pics but my file size is way to big how do I get the size down small enough to post here?)

If you're hosting your pics on Photobucket, you have the option of what size they upload (into Photobucket). Set it at 640X480 and you won't need to reset it again, that's generally the best forum-sized pics, and should work fine anywhere.

Glad to hear someone got out for some detecting.

Thanks I was just uploading the pics from my computer and was hoping there was a way to resize them there. I don't use photobucket but I do have a flickr account guess I can upload them to there and see if it works or find our old point and shoot camera and retake the pics with it cause I know the file size from it is in the kbs instead of Mbs.
