Todays hunt

I finally got my first Barber quarter today... 1916.
My buddy and I were hunting an old house site and this was found after about 20 minutes into the hunt.
He found a very nice 1945 Mercury dime and in one hole he found 10 wheat pennies!!
I also found a 1942 war nickel although I didn't realize it until I got home and cleaned all the mud off of it.
It was a very cold, damp day, but I'm glad we stuck it out and made some nice finds.
I also found the Dodge Brothers emblem, but don't know what much about it.. anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for looking,
Felix

and the other finds too! But especially on the quarter. I just love those old silver coins! Congrats on a good day of diggin'. HH Randy

That Dodge Brothers emblem is AWSOME. Before Dodge was Dodge they were Dodge Brothers. I believe in the begining they built transmisions for Ford (?) and maybe Chevrolet - who also got their start working for Ford, or racing Fords, or some such thing.

I was wrong. Kinda

Good read, single page, to the greatest financial transaction in American history.

Congrats on the awesome hunt! The Barber is sweet as are the Wheats. But i have to say my favorite is the Dodge Brothers. I really like stuff like that! Very cool find, and a nice hunt, Beale.
