Well this coil is sure good to me, heres todays finds, about 3/4 of an oz for me and my uncle got over an oz, in one nugget. Grubstake

Way to go Grubstake.
You are killer with that coil. I got out today to. No gold for me but what a great day anyway. You know, if you keep scoring gold form that patch, pretty soon you will have to find another patch. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE!
Take care and keep it up.
Micheal

Wow! That one ozer is a pretty piece. Nice mix of quartz and gold, just rounded enough to make a big hanger if you were so inclined. Way to go!

Digger

When ROB gave me that test coil, it did not have any instructions with it, just a note that said to kick ass and take names! And the names were GOLD and Nuggets! Ha! Ha! Grubstake

Way to go GRUBBY! Dude you are finding some serious gold. Congratulatons!

DOC, NO HYPE, I have just loved that coil, since Rob gave it to me. I think anyone not open to useing this coil, should think again. I have found more gold with this coil since I've had it, than you could imagine. TREV and the other guys at Coiltek sure got this one right. And I have people that have seen me find everything I have posted here that will tell you it was no other coil, only this protype Platypus coil that found it all. Thank you and ROB and Coiltek. Grubstake

We have big plans for 2006. R&D has been very busy for the past 6 months and we have made some awesome discoveries regarding increasing depth, stability, design, lightness, internal coil electronic mods and booster boards, and durability.

I can't say more than that, but when the GoldStalker COILTEK line is released, you will be the first to know.

Thanks DOC, I really look forward to the new line of coils, They sure have a winner with the Platypus. Grubstake

OK Grubstake. How about a evaluation on this Platypus coil? Do you find and small 1/2 dwt. nuggets or just the usual monsters? At what depth do you find boot tacks? If I remember right, this is a DD so soil type souldnt be an issue. Can you elaborate any on the type of things you are finding along with the size and such?
Thanks bud.
Micheal

Yep, Mike I'm finding the boot tacks alright, some down as far as 6-8 inches, and little wire, like the used to use as screen wire, down deep also, the ground is really mineralized, red clay. As finding cap and ball type bullets and square nails. But lots of gold to. Smallest gold was about a 1/3 grammer so far. Seems like they got most of the smaller stuff, they pumped water and ran stuff through sluices. If you get this coil, you won't be sorry, you will be glad. Thats the straight poop. Grubstake

Thanks, I thought you were going to say that. I just might have to check into it. I really like my 8 inch mono, never did like the DD, just seemed too quite. Comming from a V-SAT, I am used to some noise. Thanks for the help and keep the gold comming.
