Followed my game plan and it worked just as I had hoped. Started out at the sand volleyball court found a little clad moved out to the Fair grounds parking lots found more clad and a one dollar bill got to the baseball fields about 10:00 and started my search for old silver. Right off the bat I started finding clad from the late 60,s then I found nickels from 1954 1963 and a wheat penny I knew silver was not to far. Then I got a deep silver signal the DeLeon with the stock coil is a killer on deep silver it read silver with just a touch of zinc at 9 inches I cut a plug careful not to hit the coin started pulling dirt out and waved it over the coil first couple of handfuls nothing then on the third the D sang out I sifted through the dirt and saw the thin reeded edge of a dime I pulled it out and saw the familiar hatchet on the back woo hoo a Merc. it was not till I got it home and rinsed the dirt away that I saw it was a 1929 nice but well worn. I know where I will be tomorrow and maybe most of next week I sure hope there is a lot more where that came from anyway here's the goods oh yeah I did get a little excited I found two junk rings that had me going for a second till I confirmed the were junk
