Before that Fed X guys drops off another A T Pro upon this area, I headed out this morning and went directly to what some of us have dubbed "iron hill." Not a big area, but loaded with iron. Before I got to the hill, however, when working my way across the fields I managed to snag 2 wheat cents, a 36 Mercury dime and a 3 clad quarter coin spill, among a few other pieces of clad and Memorial cents.
I worked iron hill for about 3 hours just inching my way along and listening for those fainter mixed tones. As a result, I managed several period bullets and lead, a nice Eagle button that my photo shot doesn't do justice to, 1 more wheat, a 1896 I H cent, and 2 pieces of junk jewelry and a couple pieces of clad and cents.
We had a good soaking rain last night and targets just seemed to be lighting up. Three of us that I know of have worked that area pretty hard and I suspect there still a few goodies being masked there. Everyone hunt good this weekend. HH jim tn
