Just the normal fare , but the outlaw shure went off on the 45 slug, & the shot shells, and at good depth. I was hunting in threshold all metal , as the field is not trashy . and i get the best tip off that somthing is down thear , enjoyable hunt tho

I always like finding bullets and shotgun shells. I enjoy researching the old headstamps I find. Are any of the shells you found old?

I'll say this, if it's there Gunnar is gonna find it. It's about time for another video. I really enjoy watching them.

I'd sure rather get a hard hit off a shell case no no hits at all.

Mo jo I have done some research into shot shells, and the ones you see could go as far back as the mid to early 70,s . What I found is if it has a plastic case thestarted using them in 1960 then I think in the late 70,s the went from a brass shell to a steel shell coated with a cheep brass finish but the all brass , and paper go befor 1960 and the tip off to a later shell is if it says GA in stead of NO .12 even when a company got bought out the next compay may have kept making the same shell but the shorter brass base usally are the older ,

Good info Gunnar. I didnt know anything about shot shells until i started finding them in city parks and sidewalk strips. The locations i was finding them made me think they had to be old so I started looking into aging them. Apparently there are a lot of folks who collect them so there is a bunch of info on the web to help I.D. and age them. I'm now hooked!

I have saved all the difrent ones I have found , and may make a display, I have found they are most abundant on land over looking water

Bro - You have massive amounts of land to cover. When you find shotgun shells you obviously have a much better chance at finding more items in the area. Slow down and comb / grid the land real good. You just might find what you are really looking for. Good luck and keep us posted. Yep, I could use another metal detecting video as well.
