Very neat. There are several old sites here that still give up a point or two.
I took a walk yesterday and found this:

It was pretty suprising, if not in the same class.

Its kind of sad because the spot where I found it is on the edge of a large gravel pit ,and they just purchased the field i found this in and within a couple years the field will be part of the huge hole in the ground a 1/4 mile from it.

I have a few of those.

Here is most of them.

I like the two tone one.

As I understand it, that one may be 9,000 or 10,000 years old. I think they used to call it a Dalton Point.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. That's just what I remember of what somebody told me years ago.

I guess those are my oldest finds in Arkie Land.

HH,

is that old point fluted at all on the other side, my dad has a similar one that is fluted. he said it is a paleo point about 10,000 years old. they put a fluted channel in them to make the blood run better. I guess they hunted mastodon with those points. not sure if that is the same type of point but they sure are cool. Ill post a pic of my collection. they are mostly from the Seneca nation of the Iroquoi .tribe.

Here is a close up of both sides.

Don't know much. I found them in the northern part of Arkansas.
