Today's finds

Busy day around the house. Could only get 2 hours of MD in and it was after dark. I am glad they have good lights at the local playground. Only one old coin. I got an unusual amount of nickels. Well at least unusual for me. I like nickel readings, that is where I find most of my gold. A 1945 nickel and it looks like an old harmonica reed from that park seemed strange. The playground is only 5 years old.

THe park you see TODAY may be only 5 years old, but what was there before? And before that? This is why we say, "you never know...."
In fact, if you say that alot, it may indeed be true and it's time for a little research.

Also, fill dirt has been responsible for more than one nice find. I have an 1842 dime as proof.

Next time you see a parks worker, ask if he/she knows where it might have come from, or where the city piles its fill dirt. Every city does it, and the piles can produce goodies.
