I just learned of an old amusement park that existed not far from me around the turn of the last century. I was not sure of the original layout, and I don't think I was close to the site of the rides or concessions, but I managed a couple of IH pennies, 1891 & 1883, and some wheaties in sad shape. One of the pennies gave a loud signal from under a tree root as thick as a louisville slugger and took a good half hour to get to.

I will have to research the old park for the layout before I return.

Very nice finds ! I bet some choice coins are waiting to be found!
Griding the area may produce some good results.
