Today's finds....

I found a sackful of trash and a few keepers. What is this buckle? Is it a Kepi buckle? One minnie, this one has a very shallow hollow butt end with a very small hole in the center of the base; some kind of adapter, not lead, look's a little like a fuse but I don't know, it seem's to be threaded on the inside of one end and the lip is broken; two pennies and a dime; a small piece of metal that say's made in USA; and a flat piece of lead that look's like it was folded and pressed flat. I also dug a mine trying to retrieve a square nail... man it sounded good. It was the last thing I dug today and was right out in the front yard of the house... about 20' right in front of the frontdoor so I didn't want to make a mess, (I never want make a mess btw), so... I ended up with a hole about a foot deep with an opening big enough to comfortably reach into with my digger and the botton about a foot across... that nail was hard to find!... but I did find it!

Looks like it may be a dart. I have seen darts shaped like this..

Yes... that's probably right. The back end has a hole with some white stuff in it, it is heavy, feel's like it is lead filled, white stuff probably lead...

Hey Jbow,
I think that you had a great day, I hunt a lot hours without finding a keeper, the minnie is great, and you got some other neat finds CONGRATS
