Todays finds include many friction primers ( bet I know where that cannon was back then!! If only I could find the projectiles!!!), 2 3-ring minies, a spoon, 3 percussion caps, assorted fired, chewed and dropped round balls, a small decorative brass 2 pc. cuff-sized button and various pcs of brass.

Keep at it. There should me a shell in there some where.

I found one of those and can't figure out what it is. Mine has one of the tabs broken off of it where your's has both tabs. Do you or anyone else know what it is?
