Todays finds with the Anfibio 14

Well I went out today at a new site. Man I wish I could get up to the old house but the weeds are so high I am going to have to wait. However the good news is they had the hay cut and rolled recently and they got pretty close up to the back of the old house. I went by there yesterday checking on it and saw it was nice and clear out back. So I gathered up my stuff and headed over there this morning. I was told there was an old cabin on site before the house was built in the 1930's. I searched and only got some old boot buttons and a 1965 quarter and 1972 penny out back. Plus some other odd and end junk. However the highlight of the hunt is what I do believe a Civil War Rosette. I have it posted in the civil war forum for some help on ID. It is lead filled too. I also found a small horse tack type of buckle as well. I had to leave due to the heat as it got very hot today. But I am still very happy with one very good relic. The large item may be some kind of can lid but I am not sure and also of course an old spoon and fork. The spoon has some age on it but the fork is probably from the 1980's.

Excellent hunt ! Your can lid thingy looks like a flattened grease cap for a axle, maybe from a hay wagon ?

Heck I do not know what the lid is but you may be right. It is pretty large and also has some kind of design in the center. I can make out the number 5 too. You may be correct though. Thanks

well it may not be civil war era rosette. Some friend say it is older than civil war and it may be. Either way though it is old I know that.

I had to go out and dump my buckets to find it.Do you think it could have looked similar to this before being flattened ?

No it is no where near as thick of material as that is. It is more like a sardine can thickness. I see I am not the only one who has a bunch of junk laying around!! I guess I need to throw it away one day too.
