Today's finds with my buddy and my son.

Got out today with my hunting buddy but, I also took my son and he used my extra SE-Pro.
He has not hunted with me for a long time but, thought he might decide to get back into it.
We hunted the same place I have posted from in the last few posts.
Wouldn't you know it my sons second dig of day turned out to be a 03 Barber Quarter. I told him go over on that side of the drive surely there was some action over there and I suppose I was correct.
I am quite impressed how quick he picked up using the SE-Pro as this was his first time out with it. I had given him a crash course last night explaining everything. I had no idea he would do so well today and honestly me and my buddy where quite shocked. Nothing like getting put in your place by your own child. :crylol:
Now I did manage a 35-S Washington some wheat pennies, an old key and a flat button. My buddy dug a bunch of wheat's and some other assorted oddities. I got some nice pieces of crotal bells but, sadly they where just pieces today.
Here is all (but my buddy's wheat's) the finds from today and some close up photos.

Congrats to you and your son on the nice finds! I got my son started last year- great feeling.

Hi Mike,

Your son will probably remember this day for the rest of his life. It's times like this where the real treasure is found. I recall taking my son out for the first time. He found two silver rings in the same hole. He got really excited ... brought them home and sold 'em to his sister. The rings are gone but the memory remains.
