Today's finds, Nazi invaded my colonial site.....

Went to an old pounded colonial site to let the AT PRO loose.. First target was the sterling Swastika pin. Then here the prefect reason NOT to throw any finmds away until you clean them up. Cleaning the little piece to the left of the button turned out to be a piece of jewelry with a stone.( tested NOT real). As I was cleaning it with a tooth brush I started to see the stone, thinking it was just a piece of fired bullet when I was out in the field. Glad I didn't toss it in the scrap pile. You just never know. Also got a nice flowered button and a round ball.

Interesting read BJ. So looking at the pics, that seems to be the back of the swastika where the pin would have been so if turned over to the other side the pin is bent to the left as per the earlier versions before nazism????

razor66 mentioned about the pin mount and then thinking they would never stamp the word "Sterling" on the front of a pin. It must have had another piece to the front or something. Notice how it's inlayed.
