had a great chance to attend a group hunt, this location is famous for giving up oldies, today was no acception,,,I had never hunted this place before and it was difficult for me to get any kind of groove going....I was lost out there couldnt tell the difference between deep iron and oldies the place was giving me fits...but presistance and paitence prevailed......my first barber,,,,my first 2 war nickels,,,a merc dime.....and 9 wheats...also clad but I will spare it,,,,this place had zinc pennies at 6 inches and deeper in some spots..so needless to say I dug about 30 or 40 of them, while trying to track down the goodies.....thanks for looking ....it was good to get out...and I had the pleasure of hunting with two real pros.....these guys musta had at least 6 silvers each when I left..

I remember you said the finds would get better and better with more experience...I think I am starting to get it now....thnaks for all the help and support form the begining......

Yup, you sure have come a long way. Nice stuff. I remember when you would have sold your soul for a silver coin. :lol There's nothing like the glint of that silver in the hole, is there? Rock on!

it wasnt long ago I was on that silver quest....digging alot of clad is great and it really helps, but getting past the layers of clad and recovering DEEP DEEP stuff, now thats what its all about.....now I ve seen the light ........seven wheats today no silver,,,,but did find a cool looking badge of some type.....I still dig the clad when I come across it.....you just never know....the last buffalo nickel I found was like 2 or 3 inches deep so you just cant rule out surface targets,,,well all depends on the site I guess......at pull tab park I wont dig anything less than six inches ...unless its telling me gold ,,gold ,and gold,........Thanks for all your help and support over the last several months ...Take it easy Mike//////
